Greenwood High International School won the Best School award in the Chess Mine FIDE International Rated Rapid Chess Tournament conducted by Chess Mine at Bengaluru on 5th and 6th August 2017. Greenwood High won the Best School Title In Blitz Tournament also which was held on 7th August 2017.The tournament is the strongest chess Tournament in India. 15 Grand Masters , 25 International Masters 2 Woman Grand Masters took part in the Tournament. Totally 466 Players from India took part in this mega event.
Shraddha Somanath won the Under-9 Girls Category Title in both the Rapid and Blitz Chess Tournament.
Greenwood High students won the following IndividualPrizes in different age categories: Totally 60 students from Greenwood High took part this tournament. This is a record no of students from a school for a FIDE Rated International Rating Chess Tournament.
Congratulations to all the parents who are encouraging their kid and took their kid for this mega event. The kids have enjoyed very much this tournament and taken autographs of top players of India and also taken photograph with them.This tournament is a great inspiration for them and Lifetime memorable experience.

Shraddha Somanath (4H) won the title in the Under-9 Girls Category.SuhaniChowdhary (4B)secured 3rd place and TanheeNagaich (4E) won 8th Place.

Pragy Narayan (4F) won 6th Position in the Under-9 open Category.

GREENWOOD HIGH WON BEST SCHOOL TITLE IN KARNATAKA STATE FIDE RATED RAPID CHESS TOURNAMENT
Greebwood High won the Best School Title in the Karnataka State FIDE Rated Chess Championship held on July 22nd and 23rd at Bengaluru.
Anya Syed Seth (6C) won First Place in Under-12 Girls Category.
Shraddha Somanath (4H) won second Place in Under-10 Girls Category.
Ridhyan Gupta (3C) secured 4th Place in Under-8 Open Category.
