Avani Prashanth of Grade 7 participated in 3 Golf tournaments that were conducted by the Indian Golf Union in December 2019. The key thing to remember was Avani had just moved into B category (Girls 13-15) and was the youngest participant in the field.
1) All India IGU Boys and Girls tournament (only for people on the IGU MERIT LIST) at Jaypee Greens Golf Club, Noida – Avani finished T2 in the tournament and T5 overall among Girls A & B ( Girls upto 18 years of Age)
2) IGU Western India Ladies and Girls Golf Championship at Kalhaar Blues and Green, Ahmedabad – Avani Finished T4 in B category and T11 among Ladies and Girls in the tournament
3) IGU All India Ladies Amateur Golf Championship which has a Stroke-play and Matchplay competition – In Stroke-play, which is a 2 day tournament, Avani finished with a T4 score
