Karnataka Region won 2nd position (RUNNERS Up) in 4 categories out of 6 categories at the CISCE National Chess Championship which was held from 12th to 14 September 2019 at Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Amritsar,Punjab.
Karnataka Regional Girls Teams got Runner’s Up position in Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 Girls Categories.
Karnataka Regional Boys Team got Runner’s Up position in Under-17 Boys Category.
5 Players from Karnataka Region Selected to represent CISCE at School Games Federation of India (SGFI) Team Chess Championship.
Greenwood High Students Anya Seth Syed (8 B) and Sparsh Gupta (9 G) were Selected to represent CISCE at SGFI Team Chess Championships.
Zoya Nizar (8B) is the 1st Stand by player in Under-17 Girls Category. Congratulation to the Players!!!
Karnataka Under-19 Girls Team Which consist of all 5 members from Greenwood High secured the Runner’s Up position in the CISCE Team Under-19 Girls Chess championship. The team Member are Anjali Parthasarathy (Grade 12A), Shraddha Somnath (Grade 6 I), Shreya Seshadri (Grade 7A), Trisha Reddy (Grade 11C) and Pranavi Senthil (Grade 10 A).
Anya Seth Syed (Grade 8B) and Zoya Nizar (8B) were Part of the Under-17 Girls Team which won the Runner’s Up Position.
Apoorv Belgundi (Grade 9C), Ishir Johari (Grade 9G ),Sparsh Gupta (Grade 9G), and Zain Muhammad (Grade 12B) were part of the Under-19 Boys Team which got 4th Position.
Axel Joseph (6 J), Nishanth S Gowda (6I) and Raghav Jaggi (7C) were part of the Under-14 Boys Team.
More than 300 Children from 11 regions took part in the event.
