Dear Parents,
As a part of our social responsibility to which we are constantly committed, particularly in the case of children, Greenwood High will be organizing an event to create an awareness of India’s twenty-four hour helpline for children in distress: 1098.
We request you and urge you very strongly, as parents, to unite your efforts to ours to help popularize this helpline started by our government. You can show your support by encouraging your children to take part in a 3.8 kms run, particularly if they excel at athletics. There are attractive prizes to be won.
You can also support us by being present yourself to cheer them and take part in a separate 1.4 km fun run on the same day open to everyone to participate in to promote child safety.
Here are the details of the two runs:
The 3.8 km run:
1. Age group: 11 to 15
2. Date: 21st September 2014
3. Time: 6.30 am to 9.00 am
4. Venue: Cubbon Park
5. Last date to register: 21st September 2014
7. Prizes: 1st – Rs.51,000; 2nd – Rs.21,000
The 1.4 km fun run:
1. Age group: open to all
2. Date: 21st September 2014
3. Time: 6.30 am to 9.00 am
4. Venue: Cubbon Park
5. Last date to register: 21st September 2014
7. Prizes: the first twenty in each age category will win medals and prizes; the next thirty in each age category will win gift hampers.
