Shraddha Somanath (Grade 1A) Won Silver Medal At National School Chess Championship

SHRADDHA SOMANATH,(GRADE 1A) Student of Greenwood High International  School, Bengaluru, won Silver Medal In the Under-7 Girls Category of the  4th National Schools Chess Championship-2015  held from 29th January 2015 to 31st January 2015 at Ponda, Goa. The Tournament was organized by Goa Chess Association on behalf of All India Chess Federation. Shraddha somanath scored 7.5 points from Total 9 Rounds and tied for the  First Place with Anupam.M.Sreekumar of Kerala State who also scored 7.5 points from 9 Rounds. But based on the tie break score Anupam.M.Sreekumar got First Place and won Gold Medal and Shraddha Somanath got the second Place and won Silver Medal.  Anagha.K.G.R also from Karnataka State scored 7 points and got Third Place and won Bronze Medal.More than 625 Children  from All over India took part in this  National Schools Chess Championship.

PRAGY NARAYAN (Grade 1 E) who also took part in the National School Chess Championship secured 12th place in the Uner-7 Open Category.He scored 6 points from 9 Rounds.
