The Future Founders Challenge (FFC), an initiative by UPES and Runway Incubation, brought together young innovators from across India for a national-level pitch deck competition. With 700 teams participating from Grades 9 to 12, the challenge demanded creativity, clarity, and strong entrepreneurial thinking.
This year, four teams from Grade 9 at Greenwood High International School, Bannerghatta Campus enthusiastically took part, presenting innovative ideas ranging from smart healthcare solutions to sustainable energy concepts. After attending multiple expert-led webinars on pitching, market analysis, financial planning, and business strategy, our teams demonstrated exceptional commitment and learning.
We are proud to share that Team “Green Lungs” — comprising Shaurya, Eshaan, and Vishnu (Grade 9) — advanced to the Top 30 finalists, becoming one of only three teams selected from South India. Their idea: a low-cost ventilator designed to support patients during emergency transport.
The national finals were held at the UPES Campus in Dehradun, where our young innovators showcased their pitch with confidence and clarity. Competing against older students from Grades 10 to 12, Team Green Lungs emerged as the National Runners Up—a remarkable achievement.
The students returned with:
- A trophy
- A cash prize of ₹50,000
- Valuable insights and enriching experiences
Notably, they were the youngest team in the Top 10 and the only team from South India in the Top 6, making their victory even more special.
This achievement reflects the spirit of perseverance and innovation embraced at Greenwood High. As Nelson Mandela famously said, “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” Our students proved just that.
